Stern Pinball has officially unveiled its latest creation: King Kong: Myth of Terror Island, a thrilling new addition to their lineup that brings the legendary giant ape to life in a whole new way.
In this immersive game, players join characters Ann Darrow, Jack Driscoll, and Karl Denham on a perilous journey to the mysterious Terror Island. The adventure doesn’t end there—King Kong is transported to New York City, leading to a series of exciting challenges and gameplay twists.
Designed by Keith Elwin, known for hits like Godzilla and Jurassic Park, and featuring artwork by Jeremy Packer (aka Zombie Yeti), King Kong: Myth of Terror Island offers:
- A custom-sculpted King Kong figure that reacts to player actions with dynamic animations.
- A unique “Gong” bash toy that, when activated, triggers Kong’s multiball mode.
- A helix-shaped biplane ramp and a magnetized “Pit” area guarded by a giant spider.
- Four flippers, multiple ramps, and interactive targets that provide a challenging and engaging experience.

The game is available in three models:
- Pro: $6,999
- Premium: $9,699
- Limited Edition (LE): $12,999, with only 932 units produced—a nod to the original 1932 King Kong film.
The first public appearance of the game is scheduled for April 17 at the “Pinball at the Zoo” event in Kalamazoo, Michigan.
